1- When submitting an article, it is necessary to send the following files with the mentioned conditions:
The original file of the article (the names of the authors have been removed from the original
Publishing Agreement (Copyright form)
Commitment form (It is prepared as a checklist questions)
2- All the articles sent to University of Isfahan journals will be checked through similarity finder software (Samim Noor and Research Link) before entering the refereeing process. It should be noted that articles with more than 7% similarity in results, data and methods, will not be reviewed.
3- In case of Non-compliance of the ethical principles of publication, such as simultaneous submission to other publications or copying, depending on the case, it will be dealt with in the following three levels and methods:
a) Notice to the responsible author of the article, b) Deprivation of submitting the article to the journal for a specified time, c) Notice to the corresponding organization of the responsible author of the article
4- The journal office is free to accept or reject the article as well as edit it.
5- Figures should be in good quality and not in the form of photographs.
6- Titles of all tables and figures should be inserted in both language (Persian and English)
7- The numbers in the text and tables should be typed in Farsi and the decimal part should be separated with "/".
8- All formulas should be typed with Equation.
9- Sending a structured Latin abstract in the initial submission stage is optional, but it is mandatory after scientific acceptance and in the final proof stage. Guidelines for writing a structured Latin abstract
Guidelines for writing an article for the Journal of Production and Operations Management
- The total words of an article should be between 5000 and 7000.
- The topic of the article should be related to research in the field of production and operations management (the field of industrial management and engineering and related fields in production and service systems).
- The article should be typed on A4 paper using Word 2007 software. For Persian text, use B lotus font with font 13 and for English text, use Times New Roman font and font 11. Line spacing should be set as single.
- Title (maximum 10 words)
- Abstract (maximum 200 to 250 words) including:
* Statement of the main problem and question * Method of work (work done) - tense of verbs, transitive past and indefinite * Major results
- Keywords (maximum of six words or terms)
The division of the main parts of the article should be done with proper numbering and exactly as follows.
1- Introduction
* Brief definitions with references to reliable sources; * Expression of importance and necessity; * The background of the research (who did what? (In what year)? What was the result?) and stating the gap in the existing research.; * Statement of purpose or main question; * Expressing what content the audience will encounter in the rest of the article.
2 - The main elements of the article (concepts, theoretical foundations)
Between the introduction and research methodology, the main elements, concepts, theoretical foundations should be presented with appropriate titles and numbers. Figures and tables should be numbered and their number should be mentioned in the text before their location. The titles of the tables should be centered above them and the titles of the figures should be centered below them. If the tables and figures are the work of others, be sure to refer to the relevant sources. The number of tables and figures should not be large compared to the text.
3- Research Methodology
In this part, variables, research method, etc. should be introduced. This part is actually a condensed and summary of the third chapter of a thesis/dissertation. In this part, it is very useful if you show the mental model of the research in a graphic form.
4- Applied study (Case study)
In this section, the research location should be briefly introduced. In some cases, this part is combined with the next part, i.e. findings, and presented under the title "Case study and findings".
- Findings
In this section, the results are presented and no interpretation is made on them. Tables and figures can be used to present the results. Do not present the results in such a way that there is no explanation. A brief explanation of the tables and figures is necessary, but the results should not be interpreted.
5 - Discussion
In this part, the results are first interpreted. Then, a comparison is made between the research results and previous research results and their differences and similarities are pointed out. Finally, management recommendations or practical suggestions are provided.
6- Conclusions
In this part, first, it should be said what was done in this article (summary). Then, the main results are presented. Then, the distinct aspects and innovation of research and its effect on the society are mentioned. After that, the limitations of the research are pointed out and at the end, suggestions for the future of the research are presented. As much as possible, future research proposals should correspond to the limitations.
* Note: If your article has a financial sponsor or provider of research credit or is derived from a research project, it is mandatory to mention its information in a paragraph under the title of thanks and appreciation. The place of this paragraph should be at the end of the article before the reference list.
7- References
* The accepted writing style of the journal is APA. Basically, every source that is mentioned in the text should be in the reference list and vice versa, every source that is in the reference list should be referenced in the text. At least 7-8 sources used are related to the last two years.
* English references in the text of the article should be in English language in the form of (author, year).
