Engineering-To-Order supply chains play a significant role in the production of customized and individualized products and development of production technologies. Based on observations, one of the fundamental challenges of these systems is the robustness and stability of relationships with suppliers. This problem arises from the enormous variety of parts required on the one hand, and the uneconomical scale of demand for each item on the other. As a result, it is necessary to develop solutions to increase the reliability of cooperation with suppliers. In this research, through interviews with experts from several ETO companies, including Mapna Locomotive, Mapna Boiler, Iranian Shipbuilding Industries, and Dorna Aerospace Company, a framework including various strategies has been developed to strengthen relationships with suppliers and extend the duration of cooperation with them. Also using the Best-Worst Method, Interpretive Structure Modeling, and MICMAC analysis, these strategies have been prioritized and their interrelationships have been analyzed. The results show that the strategy of postponement and process reengineering have the highest impact and require special attention due to their pivotal role. Buying suppliers' shares and increasing ownership over them is also an effective way to deepen cooperation with suppliers. On the other hand, diversifying the supplier portfolio has not been identified as a priority and appropriate solution for strengthening and sustaining relationships with suppliers in Engineering-To-Order systems.
